Proud Together: expanding helpline support with Switchboard

We are partnering with Switchboard to answer even more helpline calls

We know how important it is to have someone when you need to talk. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’re partnering with Switchboard, a trusted national LGBTQIA+ organisation, so that more people get the support they need, when they need it.

On Sundays between 1–6pm, if our helpline team isn’t available to answer your call, you’ll have the option to transfer to Switchboard’s experienced listening team.

Our usual helpline opening hours remain the same- you can reach us at freephone 0800 464 7000, by email or on webchat.

Switchboard volunteers offer the same affirming, confidential listening ear as our own helpline team. They’re familiar with our services and local Scottish resources, though their signposting may differ slightly. Whoever answers your call, you’ll be listened to with warmth, respect, and understanding.

Festive holidays break

Our helpline is closed from 23rd December (6pm) to 4th January (6pm). During this time callers to our helpline can choose to be transferred to Switchboard’s team. They also provide email and webchat support, so you can reach out in the way that works best for you. Their contact details can be found at: switchboard.lgbt.
