We Stand Together: Supporting Trans People

The UK Supreme Court ruling has left many trans people feeling scared and uncertain. But our message is clear: we are here. Every day, we offer vital support across Scotland. Now more than ever, our trans community needs care, solidarity and action. Together, we can show they are never alone.

The UK Supreme Court’s ruling last week has caused deep upset in our community – especially for trans people. We know many people are feeling scared and unsure about what happens next.

But no matter what the law says, one thing will never change: we are here for you.

We have always stood for inclusion, community and care.

Every day, we provide vital support for trans and non-binary people across Scotland, including:

  • a helpline for emotional support and someone to talk to
  • 1:1 support to explore gender identity and transition
  • trans and non-binary specific social spaces and community groups
  • a counselling service with trained therapists
  • a community sexual health clinic

These services change lives. For many people, we are the first place they feel seen, heard, and accepted as they are.

Whether it’s helping someone find the confidence to come out, supporting them through transition, or simply offering a listening ear, this work matters.

Right now, our trans community needs your support more than ever — and we need your help to continue showing up. Together, we can show that trans people are not alone — not now, not ever.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Let the trans people in your life know that you support them. A kind word or a message of support can mean the world.
  • Share this post to help us reach more people who might need support.
  • Make a donation if you can — every pound helps us keep our services going.
  • Fundraise for us! — a fundraiser is easy to setup and can make a real difference.

In times like this, we find strength in each other. Through care, courage, and collective action, we will keep building a Scotland where all LGBTQ+ people can thrive – including trans people.
