Stimprovisation Workshop
A Stimprovisation (sense and movement) workshop for LGBTQ+ people (16+) in Glasgow
Join us for a Stimprovisation workshop with Dr Aby Watson.
Stimprovisation is stimming improvisation, a playful practice of sensory-seeking instant composition. Discovered and coined during Dr Aby Watson’s artistic research and developed for neurodivergent people, stimprovisation is about ‘unmasking’ and feeling freer.
In a Relaxed environment, neuroqueer choreographer Aby Watson will gently lead us through ways of stimprovising:
- Movement (Stimdance)
- Objects (Stimplements)
- Voice (Sensinging)
For this workshop with LGBT Health and Wellbeing, we’ll focus on Stimplements: exploring sensory experiencing through objects. This workshop offers a practical introduction to stimprovising. You do not need performance experience to join us, only a willingness to play and explore! Come wearing clothes suitable for movement. All are welcome – you do not have to identify as neurodivergent to join.
