Rainbow Ukes
Rainbow Ukes is an inclusive, welcoming, and fun group that meets weekly to learn to play the ukulele.
We meet every week on Wednesday (6.30-8pm) at Transmission Gallery.
For new members, we also offer a one-off introductory Getting to Know Uke information session or/and 6-week Beginners’ Block Course of lessons a few times per year to give you the foundation skills to feel confident in the group.
The group is led by Tim (volunteer group leader) and Sarah (Scotland Ukulele Project). We focus on learning a variety of songs together, and playing the songs we already have in our repertoire!
You can email Rainbow Ukes at rainbowukes@gmail.com or phone 0141 255 1767 and leave a message for the group. Please note we are volunteers so there may be a delay in getting back to you.
We are a community group led by community members with support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing.
This group is for all LGBTQ+ people aged 16 or over.
We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
We also welcome people who aren’t sure about their sexual orientation/gender identity, or who do not use labels for either.
Please email rainbowukes@gmail.com to register your interest in the weekly sessions, introductory Getting to Know Uke sessions or 8 week Beginners Block of lessons.
The group is hosted at Transmission Gallery.
The venue and our event features:
