Queer Community Walk
Come and explore some well-trodden queer paths around Edinburgh and hear about their connection to Edinburgh’s LGBTQ+ community.
This walk is inspired by the work of Kang Seung Lee who’s work is being exhibited as part of The dead don’t go until we do at Talbot Rice Gallery and pays tribute to Edinburgh’s former queer meeting places and the relationships they once nurtured.
This event is the second of 3 special events we’re delivering in Collaboration with Talbot Rice exploring the queer themes of this exhibition and Edinburgh’s queer meeting places.
The event is for LGBTQ+ people aged 16+.
This includes lesbian, gay, bi, trans, non‑binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
You’re also welcome if you’re exploring or don’t use labels.
Spaces are limited, so please register in advance via Eventbrite.
Each registration is for one person.
You’ll receive a confirmation email.
If you need help or can’t attend, contact Joanna at joanna@lgbthealth.org.uk or phone 0131 564 3970.
Please let us know if your plans change. You can cancel your space on Eventbrite or contact Joanna.
We will meet at 14:00 outside The Playhouse in Edinburgh.
The venue is near bus, tram and train transport.
We will walk up Calton Hill before coming down to walk through the New Town. Please bear in mind that the walk to the top of Calton Hill is step free but steep.
The walk will take around an hour and will finish on St. Colme Street. Please note that, as it takes place in central Edinburgh, the environment can be busy and loud, which may be challenging for people with sensory sensitivities.
All LGBT Health and Wellbeing’s events are delivered under a safer spaces commitment that we ask everyone to follow (this includes attendees, our staff and volunteers).
