LGBTQ+ Basketball
LGBTQ+ Basketball Edinburgh is a friendly, affirming and informal weekly basketball group for beginner and regular players alike.
This group is not currently open to new members.
We meet every Tuesday (6.45-8pm) at Leith Community Education Centre.
You can email us at LGBTbasketballedinburgh@gmail.com or phone LGBT Health and Wellbeing’s admin phone 0131 564 3970 and leave a message us. We volunteer in our own time so there might be a delay in getting back to you.
We are a community group led by community members with support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing.
This event is for all LGBTQ+ people aged 16 or over.
We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
We also welcome people who aren’t sure about their sexual orientation/gender identity, or who do not use labels for either.
You don’t need to register in advance—just drop in.
The first session is free.
Thereafter, £2 per session or you can get a 6-month membership for £15.
Please still attend if cost is a barrier, and pay if you can.
The event is hosted at Leith Community Education Centre in the Sports Hall.
The venue and our event features:
Wheelchair access with lift access from ground floor (beside Superdrug)
Disabled parking spaces x 2
Accessible and gender neutral toilet
More information about accessibility on Euan’s Guide.
All LGBT Health and Wellbeing’s groups are delivered under a safer spaces commitment that we ask everyone to follow (this includes attendees, our staff and volunteers).
