This month’s meetup
LGBT Age goes out of town returns to Paisley, with Jane and Lynda as your hosts. We will include a stroll around the abbey and cloisters and weather permitting we can wander around the town, taking in some of the stunning architecture, The Abbey sits in the centre of this historic town, situated behind Paisley Town Hall on Gauze St where most of the local buses stop and is a block or two from Paisley Gilmour Street Train station.
The Abbey is in the heart of Paisley. It is served by the M8 motorway just a 20-minute drive from Glasgow City Centre and 8 minutes from Glasgow Airport.
This event is for LGBTQ+ people aged 60+.
We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
We also welcome people who are exploring their sexual orientation/gender identity, or do not use labels for either.
You don’t need to register in advance—Meetup is at Paisley Abbey, Cloisters Cafe (2pm)
♿ The venue is wheelchair accessible: venue access guide
Rail: Trains are plentiful from Glasgow Central Station (Ayr, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay, Largs) to Paisley Gilmour Street and take between 9-15 minutes. Anytime day return is £5.10 (£3.35 with senior rail card) Anyone with a national entitlement card (bus pass) issued within the Strathclyde Transport Executive area travels for half price – tickets must be purchased at ticket office.
