SUMMARY:LGBTQ+ Gambling Support
DESCRIPTION:Homelessness prevention charity\, Cyrenians\, has teamed up with LGBT Health and Wellbeing to launch a gambling support group. \n  \nWe meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (6.30-7.30pm) online. \n  \nWe hope that the group will provide a vital safe space for LGBTQ+ people to seek support for problem gambling. \n  \nOur group provides: \n\nPeer-led support and activities\nHarm reduction and abstinence based support\nA chance to meet people and make connections\nSupport for those in recovery from gambling harm\nFurther advice and resources\n\n  \nFor more information\, you can contact the group at chances@cyrenians.scot or phone 07983 137 239. \n  \nWe are a community group led by community members with support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing.

DESCRIPTION:If you are LGBTQ+ and care for or support someone\, this space is for you! \n  \nOur Queer Carers Group offers a welcoming space to connect with others who understand what it’s like to balance caring for someone else\, while trying to look after yourself. Here\, you can share experiences\, learn from peers\, and find solidarity. \n  \nCaring often means our own needs get pushed aside. This group gives you time to pause\, reflect\, and explore what you need to stay well. \n  \nTogether\, we’ll choose topics that matter to you. These may include caregiving\, mental health\, boundaries\, and self-care. \n  \nWe work in partnership with VOCAL\, a carers charity\, and can connect you with practical support around money\, benefits\, your legal rights\, short breaks and more. \n  \nJoin us to explore the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ carers and to build a strong caring community for each other.

DESCRIPTION:Each meeting\, we discuss a chosen book\, and we’re sometimes joined by guest authors for part of the evening. \n  \nAlongside our book discussions\, we also enjoy regular in-person social events including meals\, walks\, and trips to the cinema or theatre. \n  \nEdinburgh Gay Men’s Book Group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month (7-8pm).
