SUMMARY:Edinburgh Trans Choir
DESCRIPTION:Are you trans\, able to get to Edinburgh\, and want to sing? \n  \nWe are Edinburgh Trans Choir (ETC)\, a relaxed biweekly choir by trans people for trans people. Come along every other Thursday to LGBT Health and Wellbeing at Duncan Place to learn trans-friendly vocal exercises and sing in a safe environment. \n  \nNo need to know how to read music or make a longer commitment – we welcome singers of all levels and backgrounds\, and you can come and go as you like. \n  \nEdinburgh Trans Choir meets every 2 weeks on Thursday (6.15-8.30pm). at LGBT Health and Wellbeing. \n  \nYou can email us at edinburghtranschoir@gmail.com or phone LGBT Health and Wellbeing’s admin phone 0131 564 3970 and leave a message us. You can ask to subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates. We are also on Instagram @edinburghtranschoir. SUMMARY:Introduction to Voice and Communication Therapy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This Introduction to Voice and Communication Therapy workshop is being led by Cerys Mabe (she/they) a Speech and Language Therapist from NHS Lothian who works with trans and non-binary people on their voice and communication goals. \n  \nThe workshop will provide background information about how our voices work\, how voice change is achieved\, and how to keep our voices healthy. There will be an opportunity to use our voices in a vocal warmup and an introduction to exploring different characteristics of voice. \n  \nImportant information \nWho: This workshop is particularly aimed at trans and non-binary people who are waiting to begin a course of Voice and Communication Therapy sessions\, but it is suitable for anyone who is considering gender-affirming voice change who would like to know more. \nWhen: Saturday\, 30th May 2026\, 2pm-4:30pm. \nWhere: LGBT Health and Wellbeing in Edinburgh. The venue is fully accessible\, with ramp access\, lift and accessible gender-neutral toilets. \nRegister in advance: sign up on Eventbrite (spaces limited).
