DESCRIPTION:We are the Scottish Network of Parents and Carers of Trans Kids. \n  \nThe format of our meetings is simple\, welcoming and non-judgemental. We give parents\, family members and carers a safe space to discuss how they are doing\, away from their offspring. We will be setting off at 13:00 so we recommend showing up between 12:50 and 13:00. \nPlease note that this is a 6km (3.75 miles) route expected to take 2 hours to complete. The walk will be over flat tarmac the whole way with some small hills on the north eastern side of the loch. \nNo prior booking is required. Bring some water and snacks if you want/need to. DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Nook (SAMH) for information and knowledge sessions aimed at empowering LGBTQ+ people to find support\, overcome challenges and learn about their community.  \n  \nQueer identities\, from challenges to celebration.  \nIn April we will explore different queer identities\, taking the opportunity to learn and celebrate the diversity of LGBTQ+ experiences. We will also be looking at context to recognise the reasons we may have extra challenges.  \n  \nIDAHOBIT and LGBTQ+ Solidarity  \nIn May we will be marking International Day against Homophobia\, Biphobia and Transphobia by learning about key moments of LGBTQ+ solidarity in History. The session will involve learning\, discussion and activities that remind us of the power we have as a community.  \n  \nHow to: Pride  \nPride season: it can be exciting and validating\, but it can be a lot to navigate. Whether it’s joining marches or attending events it’s important to participate in the way that is right for you.   \nIn our How to Pride edition of Understanding Us we’ll go through Pride Events across Scotland\, Top tips for getting involved and alternative ways to feel proud.    \nWhether you’re preparing for your first Pride or have attended before and have questions\, this session hopes to give you the information you need to help you navigate activities on your own terms.  \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Stray Cats Papercraft Club invites you for some papercraft fun. \n  \nOur group leader Faiz makes 3D papercraft kits with minimal language\, clear and easy instructions\, and can be made using just glue and scissors. They’re suitable for people with any (or no) experience. You can work on these or you can do your own papercrafts! \n  \nAll materials and a plastic bag to keep your papercraft dry on the way home will be provided. \n  \nWe meet every 1st Sunday of the month (2-4pm) in Glasgow Caledonian University. \n  \nYou can email us at StrayCatsPapercraft@gmail.com or phone LGBT Health and Wellbeing’s admin phone 0131 564 3970 and leave a message us. DESCRIPTION:Homelessness prevention charity\, Cyrenians\, has teamed up with LGBT Health and Wellbeing to launch a gambling support group. \n  \nWe meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (6.30-7.30pm) online. \n  \nWe hope that the group will provide a vital safe space for LGBTQ+ people to seek support for problem gambling. \n  \nOur group provides: \n\nPeer-led support and activities\nHarm reduction and abstinence based support\nA chance to meet people and make connections\nSupport for those in recovery from gambling harm\nFurther advice and resources\n\n  \nFor more information\, you can contact the group at chances@cyrenians.scot or phone 07983 137 239. \n  \nWe are a community group led by community members with support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing.

Narcotics Anonymous uses a 12-step model developed for people with varied substance use disorders.
