Badminton Drop-In

Held at Crags Sports Centre, 10 Bowmont Place, Edinburgh EH8 9RY

Sundays 31st Jan - 28th Mar, 2-4pm

Cost: £3 per session

A weekly session for anyone who just wants to play no frills badminton.

 

Yoga Course

Tuesdays 2nd Feb - 30th Mar (gap 23rd Feb), 6.30-7.45pm

Cost: £15 unwaged/£35 waged/£55 supporters

Petra Ponnet continues to run the beginners/intermediate yoga class, all levels of experience welcome to join this guided journey in Vinyasa Flow yoga. Yoga is traditionally practised bare-foot, and loose comfortable clothing should be worn for these sessions.

 

Writing Our Histories

Wednesdays 3rd Feb, 17th Feb & 3rd Mar, 7-9pm

Cost: £5 unwaged/£12 waged/£18 supporters for one workshop, £10 unwaged/£35 waged/£55 supporters for all three, priority for those attending all three workshops

Jo Clifford, Ellen Galford and Sophia Walker lead three workshops exploring drama, story and poetry. These classes will delve deep into LGBT history and how this comes to life on the page.

 

Dance - Movement Course

Wednesdays 3rd Feb - 24th Mar, 6.30-8.30pm

Cost: £15 unwaged/£35 waged/£55 supporters

Exploring the body through movement, this class needs no experience. Ideal for anyone wishing to gain confidence in their own body.

 

Jogging - Sofa to 5k

Wednesdays 3rd Feb - 31st Mar, 6.30-7.30pm

Cost: £5 unwaged/£10 waged/£15 supporters

Want to do something active in 2010? Make your New Year's resolution to join us once a week for a jogging class. Tailored to beginners, this course aims to get you off your sofa and running 5k in 9 weeks.

 

Anxiety Management Course

Thursdays 4th Feb - 11th Mar, 7-9pm

Cost: Free

A six-week self-help course for people who have problems with anxiety and panic. We'll look at symptoms, causes and ways to manage your anxiety.

 

Photography Course

Saturdays 6th Feb - 6th Mar, 10-1pm

Cost: £15 unwaged/£35 waged/£55 supporters

Join Alistair Wight, Freelance Photographer on this 5 week exploration of photography!

 

On this course you will try out studio portraiture, street photography and landscape photography as well as getting inspired weekly with a look at the inspiring characters in the world of photography. You will be encouraged and advised on how to make a photographic project out of your own ideas and interests. This course will develop your personal photography skills as well as grounding your practice in the wider history of photography as an art form.

Participants need their own camera, and are encouraged to bring a collection of images (photos, pages from magazines etc) to the first session to help spark ideas and themes.
